A lesson learned

Don't look over groynes when the sea is rough. No no no. There's a sequel to this photo, and it's a bit of a washout.

Scientology scares me

So, there I was, innocently logging on to YouTube with the intention of watching some football bloopers. To my dismay, I noticed an advert for a video on the right hand side of my screen. It read "Scientology: The Facts". I destest and abhor this sickening cult/fantasy/business (call it what you will, but it ain't no religion) - so naturally, I didn't click on the link.

A few hours later, I changed my mind. I went back on t'Tube, searched for 'scientology the facts', and got bored trying to find it amidst all the video responses. I looked to where the advert had been earlier that day, and instantly felt a little bit of sick navigate its way up my throat. The Scientology advert had gone - replaced, shamelessly, by Tom Cruise's horrible little face. The advert this time was for a website - one that celebrated the 25 year career of the world's least favourite pint-sized actor.

A coincidence, maybe? I don't think so.

Scientology is an expensive hobby. The 'Church' have acquired lots of money by brainwashing lots of people in a relatively short space of time. Their financial clout is such that they now have the ability to advertise themselves on one of the world's most popular websites. This is very, very worrying.

And it doesn't stop there. How do you think a premium-space internet advert for a crappy Tom Cruise website was funded?

This scares me a lot.

Rant over.

One of my readers

This is Anna. I think she's one of two people who look at this website. I caught her in the act, so to speak. You can tell by her surprised face.
